Deep Dive is a "Luck Be a Landlord"-style slot machine roguelike about descending into the ocean with a limited oxygen supply.

Each round, spin a 4×5 reel of cards — creatures, gear, and hazards — that trigger left to right, generating (or draining) oxygen. Spend what you earn to fill your tank between descents and keep going deeper, or spend it in the shop to grow your collection. Run out of oxygen, and the dive ends.

FEATURES

• Slot-machine core loop — spin the reel, watch your cards trigger, and bank the oxygen they generate.

• Deckbuilding via drafts and a shop — pick free cards after every dive, or spend oxygen in the shop between descents to build out your collection.

• Adjacency & synergy effects — position matters. Plants boost neighboring plants, predators eat adjacent fish for permanent bonuses, and mollusks chain bonuses across the board.

• Rarity & luck system — Common, Rare, Legendary, and Abyssal cards get progressively likelier as you descend and as your run-persistent Luck stat climbs.

• 30+ cards across Fish, Plant, Junk, Predator, Crustacean, and Mollusk tags, each with its own mechanic — chance-based triggers, permanent growth, board-wide bonuses, and more.

• 8 descents of escalating difficulty, each one a fixed batch of dives with a rising oxygen cost just to keep going.

How deep can you dive before the pressure — or the oxygen bill — catches up with you?

This is an early build — expect rough edges and placeholder balance while the core loop gets tuned.

Really love the game :D

It worked wonderfully although some balancing might be in order or more critters as it is really easy to gobble together a massively scaling build with just the lobster, shark and hermit crab

Thank you for playing, glad you liked it! I will be doing a balance pass this week, some of the combos are too overpowered!
